CIVIL COMMITMENT

CIVIL COMMITMENT

Civil commitment and the attendant issues of dangerousness to self and others have been a major focus of Dr.Robinson's work over the past fifteen years.  He has authored more than 5,000 forensic opinions in regard to the need for inpatient psychiatric care and appropriate treatment of persons with severe and persistent psychiatric illness.  In the course of these evaluations, he has met with the widest dimensions of human experience ranging from the killing fields of Cambodia and the camps of the Holocaust to persons proclaiming themselves to be the Messiah.  His experience with persons caught in the throes of profound psychiatric upheaval has helped inform both his clinical and forensic practice.  Please see the online presentation
